AZERI LUNCH

Outdoor and Indoor seating is interiorsed by the colors of Plush Green sofas and Red & Black Side Chairs without Arms. Perfect luxurious and relaxed Seatings. Shisha Lounge seating available. Interior had Azerbaijan showpieces, displays and touches where one can play chess board and card games. There is a rack full of Carbonated Drinks which looked so Funky. DRINKS

After being seated, ofcourse chose outdoor, because of the windy weather, were served with Strawberry Drinks and Mohito. Drinks had refreshing and quench to thirst essences. SOUP

Soups ordered Borsch and Dushbara. Borsch is the Beetroot soup, gives its trademark Red Color Soup, with a thick piece of beef in the middle. This soup is cooked with beef stock yet it had thick fillings of onion and carrots thinly sliced. Normally considered a vegetarian Soup but dont want the beef can tell so beforehand. Dushbara is a lamb broth with small dumplings filled with ground meat. Broth was ok by taste but the dumplings were too good, were as tiny as it could be, each soup would have 10 to 15 pieces of it. Broths were served with oregano spices, yoghurt and small buns. SALADS

Choban Salad was definitely my favourite. All the vegetables used fresh and cut into even pieces. Salad is ver simple with cucumber, tomatoes, slices of onion and parsley. Seasoning was soo good with tanginess of Lemon juice and subtleness of Olive Oil and Pepper. Hot Beef Salad had collards, cucumber, beef and topped with shredded Parmesan Cheese. My second favourite was Mangal Salad. Ingredients are barbequed and roasted or grilled in an open flame. Salad had Aubergines, peppers and tomatoes topped with cilantro, olive oil, salt and pepper. Speciality about Azeri Salads its always wholesome like those on diet and eat healthy these Salads do the trick.

APPETISER

Kutab is famous Azeri Flatbread-pancake stuffed with a variety of ingredients. Plated on a chopping board, which is the new trend of plating gives a whole new dimension to eating, alongwith fresh yoghurt. Kutab had a filling meat and blanched herbs. Flatbread soft to chew yet crispy. Having it with fresh yoghurt just enhanced the whole experience. Loved this maybe will try making this. KABABS

Lule Kabab Lyulya kebab or Lule kebab is a type of kebab cooked on steel skewers. It is made from minced meat. As it looks like a weapon muzzle, it’s called “Lule” which means muzzle in Azerbaijan. Flavoursome ground beef mixed with onion and fresh parsley are slowly cooked over an open flame. Served with sliced white onions mixed in sumac and roasted tomato dips. Kebab was juicy, tender and yet soft with chew. Tandoori Kebab had pieces of lamb marinated in tandoori spices. Luscious, succulent and not so hard to chew kebab. Chicken Steak served with 2 leg pieces were so flavoursome, succulent and yummy. Personally love when chicken served in any form. Kebab collections are varied and yummy. MAIN COURSE

Signature Karabakh Govurma was stewed roasted beef and square shaped potatoes all sauteed in onions. Fresh, crispy potatoes and beef no doubt was Suoerb. Sabzi Plov as the nsme suggests was the green leafy herbs plov. Plov or pilau or pilaf is a dish where the Rice is cooked in a seasoned broth. Rice is normally brown or gokden color. Sabzi is where the lamb or beef are cooked in the herbs and covered mainly. At first glimpse it looks there are only greens but as one digs in the beef or the lamb comes out. Sabzi plov is a good way to feed the kids wherein they had leafy herbs. Sweet plov, when i heard first thought the dis would be entirely sweet yet its a plov. But was mistaken when the dish was served. Beef or Lamb stewed in a broth of onions topped with lots and lots of Pomegrantes. I really loved this one. Pomegrantes sweetness was not over-powering yet the broth seasoned flavours had a curry taste which made this Plov one of my Favourites. DESSERTS AND TEA

To round up the wholesome and heavy meal the Desserts and Tea are a must. Azeri desserts mainly consists of of Murabba, Pakhlava and Tea. In Azeri, one should have Tea along with Murabba. Murabba is jam was served with cherry preserves. Tea served in an armudu, pear-shaped glass, is very strong with lots of herbs soaked with no sugar at all. Simply put a spoonful of Jam into the mouth and sip the strong tea. Have a bite of Pakhlava and sip the Tea again. Point is dont add sugar at all in the tea INSTEAD BITE THE DESSERT and SIP TEA. Desserts are very very Sweet so this technique of drinking Tea is used. Azeri loves their beefs and Lambs. Loved the way it was cooked well and taken care of seasonings. Azeri also loves Yoghurt and Tea. What do you know i also Loved their food all cooked with fresh azeri ingredients which stood out from all the Steaks i had.
